The foolishness of Nicholas Kristof.

Nicholas Kristof wrote a column in the NYT where he thinks he is making the case for socialized medicine (by tugging at your heart, of course). In actuality, he makes a case as to why we should NOT have socialized medicine:

“In August, he qualified for an Oregon Medicaid program, but he hasn’t been able to find a doctor who will accept him as a patient for surgery, apparently because the reimbursements are so low.”

Yes, doctors DO like to get paid for their work so that they too can eat. In the current healthcare bill, politicians want to cap reimbursements to doctors as well. This is the hell that Nicholas Kristof wants for all Americans. Ain’t life grand?
